What does registration involve?

How does a potential customer find my vehicle on your site?
When a visitor to our site performs a search for a vehicle and the criteria they enter matches your listing, your vehicle will be displayed along with others that have matched the same criteria. Visitors are able to search by make, model, year range, vehicle category, country, price range, keyword, transmission, LHD/RHD, convertible, specific adverts or sale type (private or dealer).

How long will it be before my listing is available online?
Your advertisement will appear online to a Global Marketplace instantly! Your listing will be approved by our Customer Services team – if any problems arise with the content we will contact you directly.
How long does it take to create a vehicle listing?
You’ll be happy to hear – not long. The site has been designed for both ease of use and speed. Of course a lot depends on how much detail there is to your listing but you can always upload the basics and come back and edit it at any time.
How should I word my Ad?
We would suggest that you put the unique or most important points in the headline box of text. Remember, that the year, make and model of your car are entered in individual boxes so there is no need to repeat this in the main body of the description.
What category should I place my vehicle in?
Our advice would be to say that because there are so many different cars out there made for different purposes, be mindful of all the different categories you think your vehicle would fit into for maximum exposure. Of course there is little point to placing an Exotic/Supercar into the Trucks category - for obvious reasons!
What is the value of my car?
You should be aware that any price guide is just that – a guide. The value of your car will depend on a large number of factors including its condition, age, the country the vehicle resides in, restoration work carried out etc. Please consult our PRICE GUIDES located within the right hand menus for an approximate market value.
How do I change something in my listing?
You get access to your advertisement 24 hours a day 7 days a week that allows you fast accurate control of your listing. Simply sign-in to your advertisement with your unique advert number and password sent to you by email. At the top of your listing there are a number of links that allow you to edit your vehicles description, price and any photos.
Why am I not allowed to change my vehicle’s year, make, or model?
Once your advert has been approved, there are certain fields that are locked which include year, make, and model. ClassicCarsGlobal.com listings are intended for the sale of a single vehicle. If you have inadvertently entered incorrect information you can contact our Customer Services Team for assistance.
How do I delete my listing?
Simply sign-in to your advertisement you wish to delete with your unique advert number and password sent to you by email and click the “DELETE” link at the top of the listing.
Will you sell my car for me – do you have a showroom?
Although ClassicCarsGlobal.com is an ideal place to market your vehicle to a global audience of millions, we only concentrate our efforts on becoming the premier online vehicle listing service that connects car buyers with sellers. We are not car dealers; any listing information about a particular car comes directly from the seller and not us.
How do potential customers contact me?
Any customer contact information received is both detailed and secure and sent directly to you. Our automated forms allow buyers to contact you for more information without you having to reveal your email address on your listings. Alternatively they can opt to contact you via phone or email (if supplied).
I have concerns about scams - how will I know that any enquiries I receive will be genuine?
Here at ClassicCarsGlobal.com we do all we can to stop scammers emailing our advertisers. The software and the security implemented on the website is very successful at stopping most of them. We have systems in place that filter out spam and attempted scams so that all of your leads are quality leads. Any customer contact info received is both detailed and secure and sent directly to you. However, as with all sites we cannot guarantee that some enquiries may not be genuine - more information on potential scams can be found under YOUR SECURITY!
What size and format should my photographs be?
Your photos should be in JPEG (.jpg), PNG (.png), or GIF (.gif) format, and should be no larger than 2Mb each. Please note that your photos may be automatically resized for optimum viewing with a web browser if they are very large.
Which credit cards do you accept?
Payment can be made by any of the following major debit and credit cards: VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, JCB, Diners Club all through our secure payments server. We also accept payment by PayPal for your convenience.
“List Until Sold” - There really are no further payments to be made?
That’s right - No other commitment whatsoever! We will only decide to remove your advertisement on your behalf if we feel you have abandoned your listing. i.e. If you haven’t signed in to your account over a 6 month period and if you don’t answer repeated attempts to contact you via email. We reserve the right to do so to ensure the website database is an accurate representation of current vehicles for sale to our visitors.
Searching - Why can't I find the listings I want?
When you begin your search don’t be too specific at first, this is especially true if the vehicle you are searching for is scarce. Makes and models of the vehicles should be read carefully as many vehicles can go by more than one name.
You can easily modify your search criteria if you receive too many or too few matches by using the range of the search criteria options. Therefore consider using a wider price range, or a longer year range (if possible) etc. For example entering only a maximum price tells the search engine not to display the more expensive vehicles.
How can I improve my CCG browsing experience?
For optimal viewing, we recommend viewing the website through a modern web browser, such as Internet Explorer 6 (or higher), Google Chrome or Firefox 2.
ClassicCarsGlobal.com is optimized for screens with a minimum resolution of 800x600 and a minimum color depth of 24 bits (millions of colors). Please consult your computer’s documentation for setting optimal resolution and color depth if the photographs on our site appear with limited colors or are of a low quality.
