1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351Rare, Final Boss 351 model presented in fantastic Grabber yellow and black stripesThe Boss 351 designation refers to the new engine, a 351 cubic inch High Output motor which produced 330 horsepower, a full 40 horsepower more than the Boss 302, making it the quicker of the two at the drag strip. Journalists cite that on New York National Speedway it would repeatedly inhale its way through the quarter mile in under 14 seconds at over 100 mph. The Boss 351 is a real collector piece because it was only produced for one model year. As the muscle car era came to a close, the Ford performance division is remembered by the menacing four speed, drag ready Boss cars that reiterated their reputation with every time slip. This 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 is presented in Grabber Yellow paint with black vinyl bucket seats. The blacked out rear deck spoiler and tasteful side stripes gives this muscle car a very aggressive stance. The car sits on well suited Magnum 500 chrome wheels sporting F60X25 wide oval belted raised white letter tires that are at the mercy of the high performance engine. Under the hood lies the 351 cubic inch Boss engine mated to a four speed wide ratio manual transmission, putting power down to the rear wheels through a 3.91 Traction-Lok rear axle. Power and tilt steering as well as AM radio are nice amenities. This Boss 351 rolled of the Dearborn factory floor March 8th, 1971. The car was sold new June 6th, 1971 from Diltz Ford Sales in Salem, New Hampshire. This car is one of only 847 featured with the Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels in a Grabber Yellow paint code. This Boss 351 has completed a ground up factory style restoration to its original factory specifications. In summary, this Boss 351 represents the last of the classic muscle cars - something that collectors, enthusiasts, and manufacturers have been searching to reconnect with. From the high performance motor, 4 speed manual, magnum wheels and Grabber Yellow paint scheme, this Boss 351 has all the attributes of a great muscle car.
