The first owner of this racing-car was the Austrian Renault Dealership Himmetsberger GmbH that collected the car from Alpine in Dieppe in March 1996 and then taken by Alpine to Lédenon for instructions and testing.Rupert Hofmarcher was the racing-driver who drove this car for the Renault Motorsport Himmetsberger Team. In 1996 the Himmetsberger Team participated with this car in the races at Imola, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Magny-Cours, Silverstone and Hockenheim. In 1998 this car was sold and imported into Germany where it was raced at different events, including some historical races at Hockenheim. The car was then purchased by the present owner who had Ron Pellat, an ex-Ayrton Senna McLaren mechanic, look after the modifications in order to make the car road-legal. The 180/190 HP engine and suspension are totally original. Remote reservoir 2-way adjustable Penske Racing dampers, 9-point roll cage and Renault-Sport Trophy race exhaust. This car has not been repainted to keep the original race livery, including the FIA stickers on the roll bar. Some minor spares such as hard covers for the front lamps will come with the car.
