Description:

1969 Plymouth Road Runner   History   The Plymouth Road Runner was a performance car built by the Plymouth division of the Chrysler Corporation in the United States between 1968 and 1980. In 1968, the first muscle cars were moving away from their roots as relatively cheap, fast cars as they gained options. Although Plymouth already had a performance car in the GTX, designers decided to go back to the drawing board and reincarnate the original muscle car concept. Plymouth wanted a car able to run 14-second times in the quarter mile and sell for less than US$3000. Both goals were met, and the low-cost muscle car hit the street.   The 1969 model made some slight changes such as tail lights and grille, side marker lights, optional bucket seats, and new Road Runner decals. All were 383 engine cars, except for ten 426ci Hemi convertible cars. An Air Grabber option (N96 code) was introduced this year. The Plymouth Road Runner was named Motor Trend "Car of the Year" for 1969.     VIN RM23H9G207062   A set of spare keys are included in the sale of this beautifully restored Road Runner!     Mechanics   383ci Stroker Engine   727 Automatic Transmission   Dana 60 Rear End with 3.54:1 Gear Ratio, Performs like a Spool   Front Disc Brakes   Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads   Demon Carb   Mopar Performance Aluminum Valve Covers   New Exhaust System with Stainless Mufflers   Chrome Air Cleaner   Manual Steering and Brakes   Hooker Headers   MSD 6AL Box, Wires and Distributor   Steel Braided Hoses   Electric Water Pump   Milodon Oil Pan   Fuel Pump Mounted to the Frame Rail   Aluminum Drive Shaft   Aluminum BeCool Radiator   Electric Fan   Road Runner Horn   New Bushings in Sway Bar   Steering Gear is in Great     Body   Beautiful Butterscotch Paint   Gorgeous Chrome Bumpers   Beautiful Grille   Straight and Solid Body   Doors Fit and Operate Properly   Door Lips and Jambs are Clean and Solid   Quarters are Straight and Solid   Solid Trunk with Mat   Undercarriage is Painted Body Color   Floorboards and Frame are Solid and Clean   Frame Ties Front to Back   Wheel Wells are Clean and Nicely Painted   BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s - 235/70/15 Front, 275/60/15 Rear   TorqueFlite American Racing Wheels     Interior   Beautiful Black and White Interior   Bench Seat   Chrome Tilt Steering Column   Beautiful Grant Wood Steering Wheel   Aftermarket Gauges Under the Dash   Column Shift   Dash Pad is in Excellent Shape   Beautiful Door Panels   Custom Road Runner Graphics Painted on Door Panels   Speakers Mounted in Door Panels   Seatbelts Front and Back   Beautiful White Headliner   Working Dome Light   Clean Black Carpet   Radio Delete       Don’t Miss Out! Within the last decade we have become the Motor City’s ultimate classic car, muscle and street rod dealership, both locally and internationally. Vanguard Motor Sales is an experienced seller with integrity, and our 100% positive feedback on eBay supports that! Click the “eBay Feedback” button on the home page of our website, or the number next to our name on eBay (vanguardmotorsales), and you will be able to read all of the positive feedback we’ve received over the last 10 years!   Our inventory is always stored indoors! We have a brand new, state-of-the-art, 30,000 square foot facility that is open to the public. We would love for you to stop by and see us! We are located 20 minutes away from Detroit Metro Airport, and would be happy to pick you up and drop you off if you fly in. New cars arrive daily, and our inventory is always changing.   Vanguard Motor Sales owns all of our inventory, we are not a consignment dealership. You are dealing directly with the owner of the vehicle, not a middle man. Every car we purchase is of the utmost quality. Our mission is to exceed your expectations!   If you are interested in this car, or any of our other 125+ cars, don’t wait for the auction to end on eBay. Call us immediately! You may lose out if you wait! Remember, our showroom is open to the public. When a walk-in customer puts a deposit on a car we reserve the right to close the eBay listing before the auction ends. If you think this car is “The One”, we can end the auction by adding a “But It Now” to the auction for the reserve price. If an auction ends and the bids do not meet the reserve price, we will continue to relist it until it sells. Do not hesitate to contact Tom 7 days a week!   We take over 100 photographs of the car, as well as a high definition video, so you know exactly what to expect. We encourage you to hire an independent inspector to check out the car, prior to purchase or bidding. We have a hoist available for views of the undercarriage, and our mechanics are available to speak with if you have any questions.   Vanguard Motor Sales has sold classic and muscle cars to customers in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, France, Norway, the UAE and many other countries. We are experts in over seas shipping and handle all of the details. The shipping companies we work with are insured so your vehicle will be safe and secure during transport. We ship all of our vehicles enclosed, so they leave our shop clean and they are delivered to your driveway clean.   We''ve built our reputation on selling high quality cars honestly and fairly. We have up-front, no haggle pricing! Call Tom today, and let Vanguard Motor Sales park your dream in your driveway!   248-974-9513   We make every effort to represent this vehicle as accurately as possible and to the best of knowledge at the time of listing. Content is based on inspection, research and/or information provided by previous owner(s). We encourage buyers to make a thorough, independent inspection and investigation to verify the accuracy of any claims to originality, history, equipment or other information provided prior to the purchase.
