Description:

The ''69 Camaro has always enjoyed high demand in the classic car market. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro showcases why these cars are so cool, and why there will always be a demand for these iconic cars. Yes, Z/28 and SS cars certainly hold a special place with a lot of enthusiasts, but so do wonderful pro-touring machines that are built to just have a blast enjoying and driving. When you hop into a car like this, it''s hard not to have fun! Look at that killer stance! As far as aesthetics go, this Camaro is the epitome of how a muscle car should look. It''s low, wide, wears a menacing cowl hood, and you can almost hear the big block V8 roaring to life just by looking at it. Its sheetmetal is covered in a great looking burgundy hue that highlights that muscular stance very well. Accenting the color is a set of silver SS stripes that were painted on with precision. The doors shut with confidence, the hood lifts with ease, and the trunk opens and closes as if it were new. Body gaps appear to be good all around, the chrome bumpers look new, and the rear deck lid spoiler emphasizes the overall stance. It all comes together on a bright set of 17'''' American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. When you slide inside the black vinyl interior, you''ll find that it remains very traditional. It''s a new interior, so everything appears very clean and tidy. The front buckets and rear bench are covered in clean and crack free vinyl that presents a nice gloss. The dash is straight and houses controls for the Classic Auto Air air conditioning system and, a slew of Auto Meter gauges that keep tabs on speed, engine revs, oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and amperage. Interior trim is clean and sharp and with fresh badges. And connecting with the driver is a Hurst shifter with a Keisler 5-speed shift knob, and a wood grain 3-spoke steering wheel. The interior may be fairly simple and traditional, but that''s not the case with the engine bay. Cradled cleanly under the hood is a 468 cubic inch big block V8. Starting life as a GM 454, the block was bored .060 over for an additional 204cc of displacement and then fitted with a fresh crank, rods and pistons for 9.6:1 compression, while a moderate Comp cam was installed for valve durations. Feeding air and fuel to this brute motor is an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake manifold, and Quick Fuel 750 cfm carburetor fitted with stainless braided fuel lines. The burnt air/fuel mixture is exhaled through a set of Hooker headers through a great sounding dual exhaust system. Cooling comes from a BeCool radiator with dual electric fans, while spark is issued through an MSD distributer and plug wires. The engine is dressed up nicely with a chrome air cleaner, valve covers, and sorted with a March serpentine system with billet pulleys. It''s definitely an engine bay you''ll want to show off. Power from the big block travels to a 5-speed manual transmission to a beefy Ford 9'''' with 3.70 gears that spin Moser axles. The lowered stance comes from a 2'''' drop up front and a 1.5'''' drop out back. Power steering and power four-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors keep the 215/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear BF Goodrich G-Force T/As under control. This is a fully sorted pro-touring machine that will evoke complements and stares wherever you take it. It''s another fine example as to why ''69 Camaros are at the top of nearly every gearhead''s wish list. It takes that muscular attitude we grew to love and enhances it with menacing looks and incomparable big block power. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
