There''s no doubt, first generation Camaros are some of the most popular cars in the muscle/collector car hobby. When you look at this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro it''s easy to see why. They have broad, muscular looks that capture the spirit of Americana and an attitude about them that prove why the muscle car movement enjoys strong momentum, even to this day. Few colors make a better statement than red, and when it''s laying on the sheet metal of a Camaro it will certainly turn heads. The red paint on this ''68 is accented with white stripes. It''s a finish that will make you want to put this car on the road and enjoy it without worries. Who needs a show field when you have a car that is this fun to drive? Everything else appears as it should without any modifications and all of the badges are present. There are chrome bumpers at the front and rear and a decklid spoiler out back to highlight the sporty look. That muscular stance sits on 15'''' rally wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial GT rubber. When you open the doors you are greeted by blue accent lighting that shines on the glossy black vinyl. The low back buckets and rear bench are covered in pleated vinyl and it all appears rip-free. The dash houses an AM/FM/CD head unit as well as a column mounted tachometer and a couple of aftermarket auxiliary gauges to monitor the water temperature and oil pressure for the small block under the hood. If you''re an Alabama fan, you''ll be pleased to see rubber ''Alabama'' branded floor mats keeping the black carpet from getting dirty. Should you be a fan of another team then they are always a simple replacement. Everything else appears as it should for a ''68 Camaro with a classy three-spoke wood grain steering wheel topping things off. Lift the hood on this Chevy and you''ll find a 350 cubic inch V8 that looks right at home sitting between the black inner fenders. It''s been upgraded with a chrome air cleaner that feeds a Holley 600cfm carburetor, while exhaust gasses are sent through Hooker headers out a dual exhaust system that produces an iconic muscle car sound. The engine has undergone a re-wire with electronic ignition, and many of the other ancillary components have been upgraded or replaced so you should be confident in reliable cruising with this one. The small block power is fed to an automatic transmission that twists the power to a 10 bolt rear end packed with 3.55 gears. Power steering and power brakes with discs up front make driving this pony car a pleasure with the power being planted through 215/65/15 front and 245/60/15 rear tires. This ''68 Camaro presents and excellent opportunity to own an iconic muscle car at a bargain price. Cars like this are a perfect way to enjoy the hobby. You can drive it on the road without worries and still receive complements at the local cruise spots. Now is a great time to lock in a great driver at a great price. Call today!
