1967 Dodge Coronet 500   History   The Coronet was a full-size car from Dodgein the 1950s, initially the division''s highest trim line but, starting in 1955,the lowest trim line. In the 1960s, the name was transferred to Dodge''smid-size entry.   Coronet received a redesign in 1966, and afacelift in 1967. Trim levels initially were base Coronet, Coronet 440 andCoronet 500. Beginning in 1967, Chrysler decided that the Hemi should beavailable only in their badged muscle cars: the Dodge Charger and Coronet R/Tand the Plymouth Belvedere GTX. The top engine option for the rest of theCoronet line was supposed to be the 383 ci 4 bbl V8. Despite this, someHemi-powered 1967 Coronet Deluxe two-door sedans were produced.     VIN WP23H77196043   The previous owner of this beautiful Mopar bought the car from its original owner, in 1998. The car was raced in Detroit at local drag strips in the stock category, which means the car is very original. The door jambs and fender tag show original paint. This car was shown at the 50th Anniversary Autorama.   The original build sheet, owners manual and original Georgia Title are included in the sale.   Production Numbers: 1967 Dodge Coronet 500: 32,580 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 Hardtops: 30,328 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 383 1-4BBL: 3,268 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 383 1-4BBLAutomatic: 2,502     Mechanics   383ci Engine, Casting Number 2468130   Engine Casting Date 11/28/66 (PeriodCorrect for car)   727 3-Speed Automatic Transmission, Rebuilt   Transmission Part Number: J2801543 1967 383B-body (Correct for this car)   8¾” Sure-Grip Rear End with 3.23:1 GearRatio, Casting Number 2881489   Edelbrock Carb   Manual Brakes, Front and Rear Drum   All New Stainless Steel Brake Lines, andFlexlines   New Master Cylinder   New Brake Line Front to Back   Parking Brake   Manual Steering   Exhaust Manifolds   Brand New Exhaust System is in Great Shape   Newer Shocks   Front Suspension is in Great Condition   High Torque Starter   All New Wiring   Chrysler Radiator is in Great Shape     Body   All Original Steel   Beautiful Bronze PPG Paint   Black Vinyl Roof   Gorgeous Chrome Bumpers   Stainless Trim is in Great Condition   Doors Fit and Operate Properly   Door Lips and Jambs are Clean and Solid   Solid and Straight Quarters   Solid Trunk with Mat, Jack and Spare Tire   Trunk Floor is Painted Body Color   Rockers are Straight and Solid   Undercarriage is Solid, Clean and ShowsOriginal Paint   Light Undercoating in Some Areas of theFloors   Frame is in Excellent Condition   Front Fenders are Solid   Beautiful American Racing Wheels   225/75/15 Front, 255/70/15 Rear     Interior   Beautiful Original Black Interior   Bucket Seats with Head Rests   Console   Faux Wood Steering Wheel   Gauges are in Excellent Condition   Seatbelts Front and Back   Dash Pad is in Great Shape   Coronet Floor Mats   Headliner Fits Tight Across   Interior Lights Work   Horn Works   AM Radio   Blower Work   Wipers Work   Broadcast Sheet, VIN & Fender Tag Decoding VIN Decoding: WP23H77196043 WP = Dodge Coronet 500 23 = 2 Door Hardtop H = 383 1-4 BBL CID 7 = 1967 7 = St. Louis, MO Assembly Plant 196043 = Serial Number Fender Tag Decoding: Row 1: WP = Dodge Coronet 500 23 = 2 Door Hardtop 62 = 383 1-4 BBL HP 325 hp 5 = 727 3-Speed Automatic Torqueflite Transmission 43 = 7.75 x 14 White Wall Steel 5 = Spare Tire 323 = March 3, 1967  HPHPScheduled Production Date 08121 = Shipping Order Number Row 2: A: Axle: 404 = 3.23:1 8 3/4” Rear End TRM: P6X = Premium Trim Grade, Black Vinyl Bucket PNT: MM1 = Turbine Bronze Metallic Body/Roof Paint U: B = Black Upper Door Frame Row 4: R: Radio: 421 = AM Music Master Radio Y: Top/Roof: 306 = Black Vinyl Roof Row 6: a: 486 = Console b: 564 = Bucket Seats h: 517 = Fender Mounted Turn Signal Indicators p: 536 = Left Hand Remote Outside   Buildsheet Decoding: LINE 1: Sequence Number: C210040 Shipping Order Number: 08121 Production Build Date: 323 = March 23, 1967 Car Line: WP = Dodge Coronet 500 Body Type: 23 = 2 Door Hardtop Engine: H = 383 1-4 BBL CID Model Year: 7 = 1967 Plant: 7 = St. Louis, MO Assembly Plant Sequential Number: 196043 Paint: MM1 = Turbine Bronze Metallic Upper Door Frame: B = Black Top: 306 = Black Vinyl Roof LINE 2: Trim: P6X = Premium Vinyl Bucket Seats Black Engine: 62 = 383 1-4 BBL HP 325 hp Trans: 395 = 727 Torqueflite 3-speed Axle: 404 = 3.23:1 Axle Ratio 8 ¾” Radio: 421 = AM Music Master Radio Tires: 43 = 7.75 x 14 White Wall Steel      5 = Spare Tire Console: 486 = Console Cigar Lighter: 487 = Front Cigar Lighter LINE 3: Glove Box Lock: 509 = Glove Box Lock Turn Signal Indicator: 517 = Fender Mounted Turn Signal Indicators Drip Trough Moulding: 535 = Drip Trough Moulding Bucket Seats: 564 = Bucket Seats LINE 4: Rear Armrest & Ash Tray: 565 = Rear Armrest & Ash Tray Hub Caps or Wheel Cover: 581 = Wheel Covers – Deluxe LINE 5: HD Battery: 627 = Battery 59 Amp/Hr Production Numbers: 1967 Dodge Coronet 500: 32,580 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 Hardtops: 30,328 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 383 1-4BBL: 3,268 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 383 1-4BBL Automatic: 2,502 Engine: Casting Number: 2468130 Displacement: 383 cu.
