Description:

You can get a heck of a lot of car for not a lot of money with a C4 Corvette. This 1995 Corvette convertible proves it, with a great combination of performance, looks, and price. These really are nice cars to drive and there''s enough performance to make a lot of mischief if you''re so inclined. Polo White is the most traditional of Corvette colors and even on the C4 it looks fantastic. This particular ragtop shows just 49,998 original miles, so it''s obviously been a fair weather toy all its life and the factory paint shows all that much better because of it. The 1995 Corvettes got a few final tweaks before the end of the line in 1996, including the "gills" just behind the front wheels that are arguably the best-looking ones used throughout C4 production. Fit and finish are actually quite good thanks to the dedicated factory full of ''Vette enthusiasts down in Bowling Green, and it has never been damaged in a major accident, so no worries there. Hard to believe that this car is nearly 20 years old, and it certainly doesn''t look it, and you''ll quickly learn that anyone driving a Corvette convertible is immediately the center of attention. And despite the vast aftermarket of bolt-on goodies for the exterior of the C4, this one remains totally stock, which is just the way you want it. The tan leather interior is an elegant alternative to the usual black or red, and the lighter color makes for comfortable cruising with the top down. It''s quite nice, with only modest wear on the driver''s seat in the usual bolster areas, which is almost impossible to avoid on these cars. Factory carpets are in great condition and the door panels don''t even show so much as a small dent where the driver''s elbow would rest. Digital instruments behind a big leather-wrapped wheel are both functional and pretty slick to look at, and as with all Corvettes, it''s loaded. There''s a trip computer, automatic climate control, power windows and locks, power driver''s seat, and cruise control, making it a fantastic road trip warrior and a pleasure to drive every day. Everything works as it should thanks to the Corvette''s fairly impressive reputation for reliability, and the black canvas convertible top seals up better than almost anything else this side of a hardtop. The LT1 350 cubic inch V8 is a mainstay of performance hardware, even today, and it delivers a nice, round 300 horsepower. Now before you start thinking that''s not enough, just come drive this car. From a stop, it''ll shred the fat BFG radials and there aren''t many cars that can beat an automatic-equipped C4 on the roll; just stomp and steer! Again, despite the modification-friendly nature of the LT1, this one is totally stock and obviously hasn''t been abused. It starts easily and if history is any indicator, should run well for years to come. The dual exhaust system has a nice V8 burble to it and the suspension is capable without being rock-hard like this car''s ancestors. Massive brakes are a Corvette trademark and they''re quite effective here, and they live behind stock 17-inch alloys wearing 255/45/17 front and 285/40/17 rear performance radials. Complete with its original owner''s manual and a clean CarFAX, this clean Corvette convertible offers you a heck of a lot of open-air fun for pennies on the dollar. Call today!
