1949 Ford F1 PickupThe problem with a lot of these classics is figuring out a particular cars history. This may not always be important information but it is still pretty neat knowing exactly how a vehicle lived its life before coming into your possession. Well this very clean 1949 Ford F1 pickup truck is a great example of not only a beautiful classic but also a vehicle that has its entire history documented. It was originally sold out of Hamilton Motors in Hamilton, TX but was soon re purchased by them where it then sat on their show room floor for 23 years. It was sold again in 1989 at which time it was completely restored. The current owner bought it from the restorer 10 years ago and has cared for it extremely well since then. It has 63,298 original miles and the quality of care this truck received is evident by how nice it is. The exterior is coated in slick Black paint which is perfectly accented by the white wall tires. Wood slats are in place on the bed and really give the truck a nostalgic work/farm truck appearance. The front grill is grey and all of the trim on the hood nicely chromed. Features like the tall original side mirror may seem minor but really contribute to the overall look. Chrome taillights are in place with custom reflectors on the tailgate for added safety when cruising at night. All of the glass is in good condition and with a slight tint works nicely with the Black paint. The bumpers are painted to match the body and a rear bumper trailer hitch is in place for moving small trailers, equipment, etc. The truck sits on original Blacked out wheels with and hubcaps that have a nice finish. With the nostalgic exterior it would be a shame to not follow suit with the drive train so powering this pickup is a 239 Flathead V8. The motor runs really well and has that original style. An oil bath air cleaner sits up top and is Black with the rest of the motor mostly Red. This is backed by a 3 speed manual transmission and 3:92 gears in the rear end.The interior of the pickup is like opening up a time capsule. From the dash to the pedals on the floor everything is original and has the correct look. The original style gauges are all in place and working as are the original off white knobs, etc. The manual shifter is mounted to the floor board and is positioned to be easily reached while driving. The bench seat is covered in Brown leather and is very comfortable. All of the upholstery work is in good condition. This may be a nice nostalgic show truck but that doesn''t mean it is functional. A rubber liner sits in the bed so you it can still be put to use when needed without worry about damaging the paint. This classic pickup has a great nostalgic lookand could be yours for $21,275.00!Click for Printable Brochure(for best quality and printing on 1 page scale to 80%)Year 1949Make FordModel F1 PickupVIN# 98RC269846Color BlackInterior BrownEngine Flathead 239Transmission 3 speed manualMileage 63,298 original milesOther Original Texas truck, wide white wall tires.Price $21,275.00Stock No. #1449Click "Read more about this car" below for more details & to watch video!
