In the early 1990’s this car was owned by Triumph TR spares guru Neil Revington. He started restoring and competition preparing this TR3 into a competitive rally-car. The TR3 was fitted with Revington’s latest rally suspension, with front and rear anti roll bars, uprated front brakes and overdrive gearbox.

Once ready he started competing with it and managed to win Overall in the 1993 Rallye des Pyrénées, against a 60-strong international field of competitors. The Rallye des Pyrénées Started in Spain, crossed into France and it then finished again in Spain after six days and 30 sections. In this first major event the car ran without any problems and did the 1200 miles with only normal services and maintenance.

Following this victory the car was then entered for the 1994 B & I Tour of Ireland Rally which took them over 800 miles of bad roads in mostly torrential rain showers. The 6-day event started in Dublin and covered 600 miles of regularity sections. Again this TR3 took the lead on day one and kept it until the finish to win Overall.

Today this car is in excellent shape and ready for more competition.
