1941 Willys Custom CoupeNo matter what street rod show you are at you will always find a custom Willys on the podium for awards. Ask around about what people think of the Willys and there seems to be a solid consensus, "badass" (pardon our french.) There is just something about the way the cars look and sit that give it a toughness that is not matched by most other cars on the road. This beautiful 1941 Coupe grabs a ton of attention and has been a frequent 1st place/best of show winner in the Atlanta, GA area. The body is very solid and coated in Black Cherry paint with custom Orange graphics which are a nice change from your typical flames. It sits on an Outlaw frame that is painted to match the Black Cherry of the body. Both the frame and the body are registered with Outlaw. The car is shaved and free of any exterior handles so remote electric door poppers are in place to gain access to the interior. Swan neck side mirrors are in place on both doors and have a great shine. That classic Willys front grill is nicely chromed and in place, smiling at everyone in the way. The front headlights are mounted in nice chrome bezels with the rectangular taillights being inset in nice Billet bezels. All of the glass and windows are in good shape with a split style rear windshield. Other nice exterior features include the license plate which has been frenched into the deck lid. The car has a slight rake that looks even tougher with the wide tires in the rear. Polished Weld Pro Light wheels are in place on all four corners with after market Billet Specialties spinner style center caps giving it the look of a knock off wheel. If you thought those slicks in the back were for show then you haven''t seen the 572ci 760hp motor under the hood. The 502 GM tall deck engine has been completely worked over and fitted with only the best components to create not only a high performance motor but a reliable one. Some of these components include the Crower crank, Crower rods, J.E. forged pistons, comp cam/lifters, Cantfield aluminum heads, Dart intake, Holly 1150 carburetor and MSD ignition box with soft touch rev control. This is all then topped off with a one of a kind custom air cleaner that took over 90 hours to fabricate and paint to match the graphics on the body. Despite all of these upgrades and all of that power the car is entirely street legal. Not only that but it runs very cool which is an area where a lot of Willys have issues. With the air conditioning blowing the car consistently only gets up to 180 degrees. From the motor power runs into the J.W. race transmission that has been fitted with a reverse manual valve body and transmission brake. It has a 3400 convertor and has no problems handling the torque from the motor. This then leads through the driveshaft into the Ford 9" rear end that is fitted with 4:11 detroit lockers and is all painted to match the car. The suspension is just as top notch as the rest of the car with a 4 link suspension and Mustang II style front end. This utilizes custom powder coated Tubular a arms and aluminum coil overs. Disc brakes are mounted on all 4 corners and have all steel braided lines with A-N fittings.Another area where a lot of these custom Willys tend to be lacking is in the interior. All the money gets dumped into the drive train that when it comes to the inside quality starts dropping. Well that isn''t the case here. The interior is very nicely done in fully custom Bone leather that looks great! Custom accents are found throughout and can really make a difference when it comes to winning best of show type awards where high quality and attention to detail needs to be present everywhere. The bucket seats sit nicely in place to each side of the custom console which provides extra storage space and houses the Cheetah SCS shifter with line lock. The dash is finished out very nicely with all Autometer white faced gauges that work properly. The polished tilt column is easily adjustable and is topped with a Banjo style steering wheel. An AM/FM/CD player is nicely mounted in place and uses four 6X9 speakers that provide a great sound. Other nice luxuries include the power windows and Vintage AC/Heat system. The trunk is also complete in all leather and looks just as nice as the rest. This is one awesome street machine that will instantly put a smile on your face. It is extremely fun to drive and when you decide to show it you will have no problems bring home a trophy. It will provide years and years of fun and enjoyment so get it while you can!Own one of the finest 41 Willys around fora great price of $89,900.00!(trades considered)Year 1941Make WillysModel Custom CoupeVIN# FLA37465Color Black Cherry with custom Orange graphicsInterior Bone LeatherEngine 572ci/760hpTransmission J.W. automatic race transmissionMileageOther PW, Disc Brakes, AC/Heat, Custom air cleanerPrice $89,900.00!
