New A/C with R134a refrigerant that blows ice cold plus an AM/FM/cassette stereo mean that you can drive it every day without feeling like you''re giving up anything. The front trunk area features a strut tower brace to stiffen handling and full factory upholstery. The engine, transaxle and suspension were rebuilt during the restoration several years ago, all with about 15K miles clocked since then, so this potent 911 runs every bit as great as it looks. Light up the 2.7 liter boxer six and it cackles with that distinctive Porsche sound and delivers impressive torque at just about any speed. The engine bay is clean and nicely detailed, and the usual 911 issues have been resolved during the rebuild, so it''s as reliable as when it was new. The suspension manages to be both sporting and comfortable, the brakes are immensely powerful, and those 17-inch Turbo wheels look right because they''re factory-issue and wear 215/45/17 Goodyears that look right.
