''70s Corvettes today represent huge bang for the buck, and this very clean 1977 coupe has a lot to offer. Showing only 63,132 original miles, it''s loaded with options, has a fresh paint job, and lots of recent maintenance ensures it''s ready to travel. For a car with such a reasonable price tag, someone has invested pretty heavily in this bright red Corvette. The paint is recent and thanks to the wonders of modern paint looks far better than the stuff they were using in 1977. Forget the variations between the panels, it has a vivid, even look that makes it one of the most recognizable shapes of all time. It fits together about as well as it did when it was new, with decent gaps and flush-fitting headlight doors that are a big part of the look. 1977 was the last year of the traditional flying buttress look and the flexible urethane front and rear bumpers show no signs of cracking or deterioration. Correct crossed-flag emblems were reinstalled, along with the Corvette emblem on the tail, and someone polished up the rocker panels after they were reinstalled. The interior is mostly original, with factory seats that have been re-worked in the original red so they look a lot newer. You can get a good idea of how nicely maintained this car really by looking at the carpets, which are also original and simply given a deep cleaning and are now protected by a set of fresh floor mats. Gauges, console, door panels, and other parts are untouched and in excellent shape and the steering wheel is remarkably well-preserved. The factory-issued AM/FM radio powers a set of new speakers in the dash, so it sounds decent. Options include functional factory A/C, power windows, and a tilt/telescope steering column, making it the kind of car that you can drive every day without feeling like you''re in some antique. T-tops have been a Corvette staple since the debut of the C3 and this one includes a set of fresh T-top bags to keep them safe when they''re stowed and all the T-top and door seals are new. Power comes from the original, numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 that''s remarkably stock after all these years. It''s been extensively serviced including a full tune-up, new hoses and belts, and a cooling system service with new thermostat. The corporate blue paint on the block looks fresh so it retains a very OEM look under the hood, right down to the snorkel feeding the air cleaner. The original TH350 3-speed automatic transmission was also serviced with a new output shaft seal, fresh modulator, and a fluid change and the brakes offer new calipers, brake pads, and front rotors. It also offers a great Corvette sound with a new exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, so it definitely gets attention when you crack the throttle. It''s original underneath, but you can also see that it''s led a good life with no time served in the snow belt and the factory Rallys have been fitted with reproduction Goodyear Polysteel radials that give it just the right look. For affordable fun that isn''t some anonymous 4-door sedan, ''70s Corvettes are pretty hard to beat. This one has all the right qualifications, making it a great buy that''ll always be a lot of fun to drive. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom.
