In the mid-90s, this Corvette roadster was THE car to own. Ideal colors, the powerful LT1 living under the hood, and gorgeous A-mold wheels at the corners, everybody loves this car. By 1994, the Corvette was one of America''s best-built cars and it shows in the way the panels fit together. Not only that, but as a largely unmolested survivor, this one hasn''t been raced or abused, so it still feels tight and looks fantastic. From the flush-fitting nose to the convex rear bumper cap, the rubber parts are in excellent condition with no major cracking and the rockers haven''t been blasted by the oversized rubber. This car has been loved. The tan interior is exactly the right choice to go with the Polo Green paint. Extremely comfortable, those sculpted bucket seats also hold you in place during aggressive driving and thanks to a myriad of adjustments, everyone can get comfortable behind the wheel. There''s the usual wear on the outer bolster, but otherwise the hides are in great shape and the rest of the interior has obviously been well-maintained. Accessory sill plates help protect the carpets from scuffs, but that''s about it for modifications inside. Of course, there''s not much to modify when just about everything is standard equipment, from A/C to power windows and locks to cruise control and a trip computer. The digital instrument panel is fully functional and the original stereo system has been augmented with a Kenwood CD changer in the top well behind the seats. And speaking of the top, it''s also in great shape with a heated rear window. The 350 cubic inch LT1 V8 really needs no introduction. The benchmark for performance in the ''90s, it remains a potent machine even on today''s streets. And while they''re insanely easy to modify, this one remains almost entirely stock and therefore has unparalleled reliability. Extensive recent work includes a new fuel pump, thermostat, and catalytic converters, so it''s not only fast, but legal in all 50 states. The 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is hardly a liability and makes this Corvette the perfect weapon for cutting through traffic and you''ll never get tired of burying the throttle and hearing it drop down two gears in a heartbeat. The undercarriage is proof enough that this car never suffered through inclement weather and offers the right combination of ride and handling to make it a pleasure to drive anywhere. Gorgeous A-mold wheels were swiped from a ZR-1 and carry ZR-1 sized rubber, too: 275/40/17s up front and giant 315/35/17s out back.
