What this 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon represents is the state-of-the-art in off-roading, enhanced by a long list of well-chosen aftermarket modifications that make it nearly invincible. If there''s a remote corner of the planet that you''re eager to visit, this astounding Jeep will absolutely get you there. The mistake a lot of folks make with the Wrangler is assuming that its leather-lined interior and long list of creature comforts have made it soft. Well, they''re dead wrong. This is hardcore off-roading at its best, although from the looks of the Black Forest Green Pearl Coat paint, this one hasn''t been anywhere more rugged than a gravel driveway. Body-colored fender flares, butch-looking tubular steps, and an oversized front bumper all suggest that it scoffs at climbing mountains and bounding over boulders, and it''s all in fantastic condition. Of course, with just over 11,000 miles on the clock, it''s still pretty new in every way and definitely looks the part of a vehicle that stickered for more than $41,000 (to which more than $12,000 worth of modifications were added). With four doors, it''s actually quite roomy and practical, but with a winch integrated into the front bumper, there are no doubts about this 4x4''s intentions. And all the Jeep DNA is there, from the squared-off greenhouse to the familiar grille and round headlights, all augmented by LED auxiliary lighting, so you shouldn''t worry about not being recognized. And if you want practical, there''s even a spare water tank built into the rear bumper! Inside, it''s a leather-lined cocoon of luxury, which is quite startling in a Jeep, never mind a Wrangler. The list of goodies is extensive, including heated seats, power windows and keyless door locks, a powerful stereo with satellite radio and an iPod interface, and enough speakers to be heard at the other end of the Grand Canyon. It''s also got remote start to cool off on hot days in the sun, and a fairly comprehensive array of instrumentation in a very handsome instrument panel that''s no longer just a flat sheet of metal. Everything is in virtually new condition, of course, and it''s still under the factory warranty, so no worries about buying it and having some fun. It was ordered with a factory 3-piece hardtop, which is color-matched to the bodywork, but thanks to an included power winch, it''s easy to remove and you can install the Besttop Trek Top that fits as tightly as the factory piece. The engine is a 3.6 liter V6 that truly transformed the Wrangler. Faster and more efficient than the old V6, it gives this Jeep the moves to match its looks. The factory loads it up with all kinds of tasty off-road accessories, like electric locking differentials in the Dana 44 axles, a 4.00 low gear in the 2-speed transfer case, a 5-speed automatic transmission with hill-descent control, and a front sway bar that disconnects itself with the click of a button. Out of the box, no Jeep is perfect, so a sizeable additional investment went into a bunch of mods that eliminate the compromises the factory was forced to make, including JK front geometry correction brackets and a 2.5-inch suspension lift that make it supremely capable in the dirt. The goal was to make this a turn-key Jeep that already has all the hardcore stuff built in, and in that regard it''s a stunning success. Custom JK Pintler wheels with a beautiful gray finish give it just the right aggressive look and carry giant 35x12.50-17 BFGoodrich off-road radials. Go anywhere, do anything was always the Jeep''s mantra, but it has never been this easy or this luxurious. With an extensive list of highly functional modifications that pushed the build cost well over $50,000, this Wrangler might be one of the finest off-road vehicles you''ll ever see. Call today!
