Eureka was a French manufacturer of children''s toys, well known for their pressed steel pedal cars for children. Over 22,000 pedal cars were produced before 1931, with the BB-28 model being the most famous. These beautifully finished crank drive pedal cars were among the best around, allowing Eureka to gain license from Eltore Bugatti to produce a limited run of Deluxe "Baby Bugatti''s", with body styles in the fashion of the illustrious Bugatti Type 52, as an exceptionally rare open touring speesster like the one offered here. These limited editions were offered exclusivley to celebrities, civil and military officials. This Eureka Baby Bugatti Dual Cowl Touring Speedster is in exceptional condition and appears as the product of a meticulous restoration. Paint and body are straight and unblemished, clad in Black with vermillion Red chassis and pinstriping. The pedal car is stamped with a production date of 6-29, which corrresponds to June of 1929. The headlights work and run on a compact 6 volt battery. Sreering wheel, crank pedal action, and hand brake work like new.
