There''s nothing better than a 1934 Ford, especially when it''s dressed like a rock star. This handsome tudor packs a stout Chevy small block, a flashy two-tone color combination, and is full of modern conveniences. A no-compromises rod that''s ready to cruise at a very reasonable price. First off, the car has a steel body, which gives it an authenticity that many fiberglass rods lack. Of course, the heavily louvered hood is steel, too, and the rake is exactly right to highlight the tudor sedan''s almost perfect proportions. The two-tone paint is a very refreshing change from the usual combinations, and the sweeping black stripe that divides the two shades of silver gives it a sophisticated 1930s look. It retains almost all the original trim, including bumpers, grille, and chrome headlights, so the traditional look remains-it hasn''t even been chopped! The doors open suicide-style, as they did in 1934 and the running boards are still wrapped in rubber. The fabric roof insert has been neatly filled with a steel panel with stiffening ribs, creating a trick look that''s totally functional at the same time. The license plate frame is neatly frenched into the rear pan, right where the spare tire would have lived and nicely framed by the dip in the original-style bumper. Professionally crafted, the two-tone gray vinyl interior is simply awesome. Twin bucket seats are vastly more stylish than the original chairs, but with the narrow pleats, they have a 1930s sensibility. The original rear bench has been upholstered to match and offers plenty of stretch-out room for passengers. Goodies like cold A/C, power front windows, and a AM/FM/cassette stereo are, of course, included, all neatly installed to maintain a fairly stock look to the dash. A selection of Dolphin gauges look suitably retro, and the fat wood-rimmed steering wheel is elegant and helps warm up the interior. Custom carpets, tinted windows, and a few stylistic flourishes like the trim on the door panels, and you have a car that''s a joy to drive, even if you''re just running up to the corner store. With everyone building Fords stuffed full of Chevy motors, it shouldn''t be surprising to find a 350 cubic inch V8 under this tudor''s pointed hood. Sticking to the basics like a 4-barrel carburetor and an oversized radiator means this rod starts instantly, idles perfectly, and happily goes wherever you point it without any drama. It also looks cool with those chrome valve covers and coated headers. The firewall was only lightly modified to accommodate the Chevy V8, preserving front legroom and a factory look that shows well when you open the hood. Underneath, the chassis is ready to rock, with boxed frame rails, Mustang II A-arm front suspension, power front discs, and a beefy 8-inch Ford rear end. Staggered Boyd Coddington billet aluminum wheels give it just the right rake, wearing 195/60/15 front and 235/70/15 rear performance radials. No longer trophy bait, this ''34 Ford embodies the best hot-rodding traditions of simply getting out on the road and having fun. Lots of power, a gorgeous, functional interior, and nicely-chosen custom paint mean that this is one for drivers to enjoy. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
