Description:

Camaro guys, this one''s a treat. It''s just the way you''d do it for yourself, complete with a strong 350, an overdrive transmission, and a subtle yet aggressive look that makes this 1969 RS/SS extremely desirable. Clean, sleek, and stylish, this one is a great package that delivers on all the things that made this one the year to own. Let the other guys have their Hugger Orange Camaros, you''ll be the one keeping a low profile with this handsome Madeira Maroon hardtop. They took no liberties with the restoration, sticking to the factory equipment, and instead focused their time and money on making sure it''s as straight as possible. It was done a few years ago, so it shows a few signs of use, but there''s no arguing that the stock hood with chrome inserts, RS hidden headlights, and SS spoilers front and rear don''t make for a fantastic-looking Camaro. You''ll note that the crease that flares out from behind the wheel arches is straight enough to have been carved using a level and the door gaps are impressive for a car that''s approaching fifty years old. The black vinyl roof surely helps with the grown-up look, along with the tinted windows that give it just a bit of an air of mystery. There''s also plenty of shiny jewelry, including quarter panel gill inserts, bright wheel arch moldings, and chrome bumpers with oversized bumper guards in back. This is a great-looking F-body! Houndstooth upholstery is probably the best choice in a ''69 Camaro, a traditional look that will never go out of style and always remains comfortable. The bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered using correct reproduction seat covers, there are new carpets on the floor, and even the door panels look quite fresh. A center console offers factory auxiliary gauges and everyone''s favorite horseshoe shifter, and those with sharp eyes will note that it now manages four forward gears instead of three. Reasonably convincing woodgrain appliques on the dash warm up the already inviting interior, as does the reproduction rosewood steering wheel. And yes, there''s an original tach in the dash as well, which was a separate option. The trunk is exceptionally clean and that little valve you see poking through the floor controls the rear air shocks, so you can fine tune the ride and handling regardless of the gear you''re carrying in the trunk. The engine is a smart-running 350 cubic inch V8, not numbers-matching, but nicely presented and quite stout on the street. Thanks to a Holley 4-barrel and a shiny Edelbrock Air Gap intake, the intake makes a ferocious howl, and a set of Doug''s headers dump into a Flowmaster exhaust system with X-pipe for the most spectacular soundtrack. Chevy Orange paint on the block, some shiny valve covers, and quite a bit of factory-style details make this an engine bay you''ll show off with pride. The aforementioned transmission is a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive which makes the 3.73 gears (with Posi!) in the 12-bolt rear quite user-friendly on the road. Please take a few moments to examine the undercarriage, too, where you''ll notice a freshly rebuilt front end. With a slightly lowered stance, the rally wheels and staggered BFG radials (215/65/15s in front, 255/60/15s in back) really fill the wheel wells. It''s hard not to fall in love with this Camaro simply because it gets so many things right. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
