Kind of nice to see a ''50s Chevy that isn''t a Tri-Five, isn''t it? This refreshing 1958 210 Del Ray 2-door nails the ''50s look and adds a healthy dose of technology to give it a radical stance, modern comfort and convenience, and bulletproof reliability. Want a cool custom you can drive anywhere? Here it is. Admit it, you love the way this car looks. Of course, a lot of it is simply that the one-year-only styling of the ''58s can do no wrong, but that turquoise paint looks so right that you''re really wishing you''d done this one yourself. The paint is single-stage urethane, so it has the right vintage look without the hard shine of modern finishes, even though this car is most definitely a resto-mod. With less stainless trim than the ''57s, the ''58s can stand out all on their own with great finish quality and detailing, especially the modified fin that makes up the top of the quarter panel and the wide grille that you might mistake for a Cadillac. It all lines up well enough to make all those people watching it drive nod and smile in appreciation, and with that awesome stance, nobody''s going to mistake it for a stocker. Better yet, all the chrome and stainless has been professionally refinished, so there''s one less thing to worry about when you hit the road. Don''t worry, it looks awesome! Original patterns meet modern materials inside, where the charcoal gray fabric has a decidedly vintage look but the color says "high tech." The beautiful door panels were re-created using the same materials and stock-style patterns and handles, while both front and rear seats are OEM benches. The dash is quite a bit more subdued than the ''57''s and looks a lot more modern with a wide, low speedometer and a simple band of bright trim across its center. Factory-style A/C with round vents in the dash provides ice cold comfort on a long cruise, while the AM/FM stereo radio with CD changer provides the entertainment. That little display unit under the dash is for the Air Ride system with a hidden button for pumping up the system and a computer brain that keeps things level or full of attitude, as you choose. The trunk is full of Air Ride gear, a remote-mount battery, and stereo equipment, but given its sheer size, there''s still plenty of room for your stuff on a road trip. You''ll cruise easily with the 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood, thanks to time-tested upgrades like an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition system, and long-tube headers. Nothing radical, just a reliable, smart-running V8 with enough power to make even the hottest original car run and hide. Lots of OEM components, including the serpentine belt system and accessories ensure that it runs like it should and a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission means it''s quite and efficient at speed. A stock style dual exhaust system tucks neatly against the X-frame, framing a set of rather clean floor pans, and while you''re looking at the stance, those 18-inch Nitro wheels with low-profile radials truly make the look. A gorgeous car that delivers on the performance promised by its looks. Equal parts traditional and technological, this ''58 has the goods you''ve been looking for. Call today!
