Description:

Ford had produced three million Flathead V-8 engines by 1936. The 221 cubic inch V8 produced 85 horsepower which was competitive during the early 30''s. The Model 68 featured a three-speed manual transmission and hydraulic drum brakes on all four wheels. Ford claimed it''s Model 68 had a comfortable ride provided by a rigid X-member frame while the car was made lightweight with an aluminum crankshaft and piston heads. The 1936 Model 68 Roadsters where the lowest production body styles made by Ford. About 3300 where produced with very few surviving or restored stock examples around. This would be one of the last years Ford offered this open body style, before making way for the convertibles with roll-up windows. Our ''36 presents beautifully with it''s authentic and flawless Tacoma Cream paint. Brightwork is excellent as is the leather upholstery, including the rumbleseat. The canvas cloth top looks like new and folds up and down without a hang-up. Engine compartment is clean and looks well maintained. This is a very rare stock model. Engine starts right away and drives excellent. We see only one of these 36 Roadsters every 3 or 4 years. Youtube video available upon request.
