The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC)and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considereda British icon of the 1960''s and its space-saving front-wheel drivelayout allowing 80% of the car''s floorpan to be used for passengersand luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, theMini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th centurybehind the Ford Model T. Initially Minis were marketed under theAustin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own rightin 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the1980''s and was offered in a number of limited editions that usuallyincluded a special combination of trim and badging. This 1994 Mini has had over £5,000 spent on it, including aperformance engine upgrade with polished pistons, lightenedflywheel and a stainless steel exhaust.  With an odometerreading of only 61,030 miles, it is finished in blue with blackleather seats, complemented by a wooden dashboard and minilitestyle wheels. Whilst the gearbox functions perfectly well it shouldbe noted that occasionally it will jump out of reverse gear.Supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MOT testcertificate, this great little car represents a fun and interestingentrance level classic.
