1940 Ford ConvertibleMore and more of these old street rods are being reproduced in fiberglass with exaggerated body lines but there is just something special about a nicely done original Ford. This restored all steel 1940 Ford Convertible is in amazing condition and was built very well. It was completely restored 4,000 miles ago. If your in the market for a street rod forget that old 32 and get your self into something like this. You don''t see these cars cruising around everyday especially this nice. The car is coated in Deep Rootbeer Brown with some nicely laid out Copper flames. The Copper fades out into Gold at the flame tips and it is all outlined in some nice pin striping. Although we would consider this a custom it has still retained a lot of the cool original features. This include the nice stainless trim you see running down the entire sides and across the hood. At the front of the hood the ornament feeds into the chrome middle section of the grill. Even on the painted grills you will find the original style trim. The front and rear bumpers are still in place on this classic and have a great shine. The front teardrop headlights up front are mounted in a nice chrome bezel. They work just as they should along with the taillights which are also nice wrapped with chrome. The beige power convertible top works smoothly and looks great. The trunk on this classic is very spacious and the deck has been shaven and smoothed out very well. All of the glass on the car is in place including the original style split front windshield. The running boards have been left covered with the rubberized mat to maintain that functional original appearance. On all four corners of this classic is nicely polish American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with nice blacked out tires.Turn the ignition on this classic and you will hear the hum of a smooth running 350 V8. The block, heads, and manifold are all coated in matching Burgundy and has a nice finish. Even the finned valve covers have the insert section painted matching Burgundy. The car runs cool at all temps with an aftermarket polished radiator with billet overflow tank. Paired with the 350 is a Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission that shifts like new. If you''re looking forward to cruising to that local show in this Street Rod you will be even more anxious knowing it has been upgraded with power steering and power brakes. These are awesome additions transforming that old classic into your smooth running daily driver. The underneath of the car is all finished out with the 8" Ford rear end and other components coated in Black. On the inside of the car you will find an all custom leather interior done to match the beige convertible top. It is very well done and still in amazing condition. It has a split bench up front and a bench in rear which are both nice and roomy. Seat belts have also been added so if you got kids along for the ride have no fear. On the doors is mounted the chrome original style handles and aftermarket polished power window controls. The dash is nicely coated in Burgundy and graced with custom pin striping. Aftermarket black faced gauges have been added and all work just as they should. The tilt column is topped with a vintage style steering wheel that is all coated black. A Lokar shifter is mounted to the floorboards and work perfectly in any custom Street rod. To keep the passenger compartment nice and comfortable you will find a new Old Air Products AC/Heat system that will freeze you outof the car. Plus there is a AM/FM/CD Stereo System with remote to provide the tunes while you cruise. The trunk is finished out just as nicely as the rest in matching leather. The car comes with a front bra, a tonneau cover for the top when it is down and a full car cover. This is a low mileage classic that has no problem bringing home the trophy. It''s a great driver that needs nothing to be enjoyed! This beauty will look great in any collection for aprice significantly lower then the cost to build at $69,500.00!(trades considered)This restored classic is a mix of custom and original that works extremely well!
