When it comes to the 2nd generation Camaro, the 1970 RS/SS is definitely the most desirable. And this car is a super example of one. It is a true RS/SS L34 car that has been body off restored. The body is very straight with absolutely no rust. The lines/gaps are very good. It is covered in beautiful Red with black SS stripes. The paint has been carefully color sanded and buffed to a deep luster. It shines great in the sunshine and looks equally nice at night. The hood has been replaced with a 2 inch cowl to accommodate the new motor. The car comes with the original flat hood. All the chrome and stainless trim is in place and in excellent condition. It has tinted windows and looks wonderful. The tail light lenses have been replaced with new and the headlights are from Detroit Speed. The power plant in this car is a completely custom built 427 V8 big block that has received a lot of upgrades. It is equipped with a Eagle rotating assembly complete with H-Beam Rods, JE Pistons, C&C AFR305 aluminum heads, black powder coated valve covers, a Victor Jr. aluminum intake manifold with a Mighty Demon 750cfm carburetor and ceramic coated headers. The exhaust consists of a Magnaflow System made up of 3 inch stainless with X pipe and mufflers. You will also find Cool Flex radiator hoses, nice wire looms with 8.8 mm MSD sparkplug wires connected to a MSD distributor with digital 6 ignition box. The polished serpentine pulley system is a Vintage Air Front Runner which looks and functions great. It is running a polished Vintage Air Gen 5 AC compressor, a chrome 140 amp alternator, an aluminum Detroit Speed power steering pump with gear box and a Stewart high volume aluminum water pump. Additionally, the engine is kept running cool by a Be Cool aluminum radiator and a Spal dual 12 inch electric fan system with shroud. The engine is generating an estimated 500 horsepower to the real wheels. It is connected to a 4L80E heavy duty 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission that has been completely rebuilt. The transmission has a programmer that allows you to adjust you shirting points. The power is then delivered to the rear wheels by a 12 bolt positrac rear end equipped with 3:73 gears. The chassis has also gone through some serious modifications. It has been completely powder coated black. The upper and lower control arms are by Global West. And the sub frame connectors are from Detroit Speed. Stopping is provided by power assisted Hydro Boost disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear. The car rides on original rally wheels dressed with BF Goodrich TA Radials. (P245/60R15 on all)The black deluxe interior has been restored to it original appearance with the exception of a center console out of a 1973 Camaro. It has a factory tilt steering column and steering wheel. The car is also equipped with a rare factory option rear window defroster. The gauges have all been changed out to white face Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra Lites. The automatic transmission is controlled by a B&M shifter. Not shown in the pictures is a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/IPOD stereo system with 4 speakers in the passenger compartment and an amplifier with Subwoofer in the trunk. This car has it all going for it. This right look, the right stance, a great sound and the power to back it all up. It has under 600 miles on it and over $60,000 invested in its construction. This is a great opportunity to own a trueAmerican Classic Muscle Car which should do nothingbut appreciate in value for the low cost of $49,995.00Year 1970Make ChevroletModel Camaro RS/SSVIN# 124870N508855Color Red w/BlackInterior Black OriginalEngine 427V8 CrateTransmission 4l80E 4 Speed Automatic ODMileage 579Other Complete Restoration with UpgradesPrice $49,995.00Stock No. #0872
