1940 Ford Tudor SedanWith the announcement last October about the new 40 Ford body being produced you can bet the popularity of these cars is just going to go up. As nice as they look though, you just can''t beat original steel! This great looking 1940 Standard Tudor Sedan is a highly restored original hot rod that combines all the right components for a great look. It was done in a vintage style which reflects the old school look more than it does the newer pro touring style cars being built. The car was purchased by the current owner from a 72 year old true hot rodder from Oklahoma who knew his classics. This really is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship with everything being tight with good gaps throughout. It is painted in a very nice gloss Black and the body is all original and rust free. The car has all of the correct stainless trim and every piece is in beautiful condition. All of the chrome is cleanly mounted in place and some of the pieces are some rare upgrades you don''t always see. Small details like the "Ford" script on the bumper may go unnoticed but these make a large difference when it comes to cost/rarity. All of the glass is in good condition and the car has a bent style front windshield that is topped with the correct trim. Long polished goose neck mirrors are in place on both sides and are easily adjustable. The car has a very solid stance and rides on original style wheels that have been painted black to match the car. These are topped with Ford dog dish hubcaps and are wrapped with fresh blacked out tires. In true old school style the car is powered down the road by a vintage V8 Flathead 40 motor that was extremely well built. The detail in the engine compartment is really top notch and not something you see on every classic. Engines like this easily would sell for over $6K on its own. It utilizes Offenhauser dual carbs and heads with all chrome acorn nuts. The engine runs very well and sends power through the 3 speed manual to the rear wheels. A "three on the tree" style shifter is used which all old hot rodders will recognize. The interior of the car is done in a very nice Red faux leather that is in good shape. The split bench seat is very comfortable as is the bench seat in rear. The dash is all original with all of the correct vintage gauges, etc in place. All of the knobs and switches are a great looking ivory color which you would expect to see on a classic rolling out of the factory over 70 years ago. They really aren''t building classic sedans like this anymore. It is just as much an investment as it is a hot rod. Really the type of classic you can''t loose money on because as time goes on it is just going to become more antique and rare. This awesome classic could be yours for $32,250.00!Year 1940Make FordModel Standard Tudor SedanVIN# 185221398Color Gloss BlackInterior RedEngine V8 Flathead 40Transmission 3 Speed ManualMileage 82,431Other Restored, Offenhauser dual carbs/headsPrice $32,250.00!Stock No. #1332Click "Read more about this car" below for more details & to watch video!
