This 1963 Studebaker Lark was restored and modified in 2012 by a Studebaker enthusiast with over 30 years experience in the hobby. Parts receipts alone total over $11,000, not including labor. The original six cylinder engine and power train was replaced with a Studebaker V8. Transmission is a 3 speed manual with electric overdrive. Power disc brakes were also installed. No power steering. Pictures include details of the restoration process. While the sheet metal was stripped and nicely refurbished, the original cream color exterior paint was replaced with maroon and was less than professionally applied, showing orange peel, and drips and sags in spots. Very nice interior with new headliner, door panels, seat upholstery, and carpet. Good glass. Windows work well with new seals. Original cream color paint was replaced with maroon. Restoration was completed 750 miles ago.
