Please contact us for more information. The Chevelle SS LS6 with 450 underrated horsepower was truly the “King of the Hill” in 1970 and today it is still one of the most highly sought-after collector cars. This car was found in Sault Sainte-Marie, Michigan and it was finally sold after much negotiation from its 87-year-old owner and brought to Minnesota for restoration. While the car remained in good shape after so many years, it has now been brought back to its full glory. The project was given to Duntov award-winning Danny Vadnais. The car was taken apart and stripped down to bare metal, with every nut and bolt replaced or deemed proper. The car was painted black with the proper white stripes and after six rounds of sanding, it was shot with clear coat and brought to the excellent condition shown here. The interior was replaced with correct 1970-spec Ivory upholstery and new carpeting, and an all-new headliner, dash, and gauges were installed as well. Next, all-new brightwork was installed plus all-new weather stripping, all new brake lines, and a new and highly rare chambered exhaust, with all mechanical systems checked and the LS6 engine tuned by master tuner Mike Hawks. In keeping with its high-quality restoration, the LS6 has the correct date-coded GM glass, Cowl Induction hood, Rally wheels, tires, engine, transmission, and rear end. When you look at this LS6, it will be clear that it is one of the finest examples offered for sale in recent years. As such, it provides the perfect opportunity to own one with a top-notch restoration completed by a respected Duntov award-winner.
