Description:

One glance at the graphics on this 1934 Ford 3-window coupe and you''ll know the inspiration was perhaps the most famous 3-window of all time: the Eliminator Coupe. Well, we''ve moved on from the ''80s, and with that comes a lot of finish and mechanical tech that makes this spectacular rod a pleasure to drive and a sure trophy contender at any show. The fiberglass body is by Street Beasts and it was completed just four years ago, so it still looks spectacular. In fact, this car has some of the best paint we''ve ever seen on a fiberglass rod, a testament to the care that went into the build. The coupe''s bodywork is smooth and slick, with a few appropriate deviations from stock, including shaved door handles and a custom hood with bright stainless vents instead of louvers on the side, a look that just happens to match the grille. The two-stage paint has that deep shine that only comes from expensive paint and lots of hand labor and the details on the car are really well done. Rubber inserts on the running boards keep them practical, and LED taillights replicate the popular 1939 Ford pieces that a lot of rodders prefer. And unlike the car that inspired it, the graphics here are subtle enough to go unnoticed at first glance, then bring a smile to your face when you see what they''re doing. As you''d expect, the interior is simply gorgeous with tan leather buckets cribbed from a late-model and neatly stuffed into the 3-window body. Matching door panels with vertical pleats add a ''30s style, and all the hardware is billet aluminum so there''s lots of sparkling jewelry to delight the eye. The dash is more dramatic and authentic than many of the fiberglass re-creations, and they''ve thoughtfully used Dolphin white-faced gauges with slender pointers and crisp numbers like the originals. A leather-wrapped wheel with a V8 emblem on the horn button lives atop a polished billet column, and a custom center console that includes controls for the A/C system gives it a very finished look. A special pod under the center of the dash holds the JVC AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, which powers speakers located throughout the interior. Even the trunk got its fair share of the budget, with matching carpets and a fitted battery box. That tall, narrow intake manifold makes big torque on the RamJet 350 under the hood. One of GM''s better crate motors, it delivers crisp acceleration and great performance thanks to the wonders of modern fuel injection. Lots of chrome and aluminum, including a big radiator up front, mean that you''ll never shy away from showing folks what''s under the hood, and it runs even better than it looks. A 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is the right choice behind the injected mill, and the chassis is nicely assembled with a Mustang II front suspension, custom Flowmaster exhaust system, and a Mustang 8.8-inch axle with 3.73s inside. It sits right and uses 17-inch billet wheels to get the perfect stance, a look no doubt helped by the 215/45/17 front and 235/65/17 rear tires. Beautifully built and with a familiar look that will never go out of style, this ''34 Ford coupe delivers on all the promises its good looks make. Call today!
