It''s big, it''s bad, and it''s like nothing you''ve ever seen before. This 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup is a romping, stomping 4x4 with all the good stuff, including a 383, oversized axles, and a dually rear setup that only enhances an already monster look. Oh, and I should also mention that it looks incredible and packs A/C and a bunch of other power options that make it a pleasure to drive. This big rig is anything but subtle so you may as well go with some eyeball-popping color like, say, Hugger Orange. They didn''t cut or chop or remove anything, so it''s still your basic 1966 Chevy C10, albeit one that''s been force-fed steroids for a few years. The cool cantelievered roof line is still there, although you''ll need to be Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to see it way up there, and the contrasting white top and side panels add to the vintage appearance. For a vehicle destined to head into the brush, however, finish quality is excellent, with great gaps, brilliant paint work, and a wood bed floor that only enhances this truck''s already overwhelming character. Shiny bits include the bed rails, original bumpers, and almost delicate Chevrolet grille up front, while heavy-duty latches on the bed look like they''re designed to hold a wild bull in check. The bottom line is, if it''s attention you seek, nothing else can do it this well. There were no shortcuts inside, either, where a comfortable, almost luxurious interior gives this big hauler the comfort of a much more modest machine. Open the door and electrically-actuated step bars descend from the rockers, and you can climb up to find a late-model bench seat wrapped in tan leather hides. New carpets give it a funky ''60s charisma, and a billet panel full of white-faced VDO gauges means that the truck''s vitals never go unmonitored. Aftermarket A/C has been very carefully added under the dash, along with an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in the middle of the instrument panel. A later tilt column with a billet shifter handle and a Corvette wheel are a cool blending of factory parts, and with tinted windows, the towering truck looks incredibly intimidating. The really amazing thing on this truck, as you might imagine, is the hardware. Power comes from a torque-happy 383 cubic inch stroker with enough guts to get all six of those giant tires rolling without a lot of effort. Lots of chrome and the usual performance upgrades like an Edelbrock intake and carb mean that it looks and runs great, and with a giant aluminum radiator it stays cool when you''re going slow. A built TH400 delivers the power to a factory transfer case and then on to ultra-heavy-duty 14-bolt axles from a 1-ton pickup. Long-tube headers and a neatly designed exhaust system that maximizes ground clearance (not really necessary, but it''s the thought that counts), and the suspension was done right with long-travel shocks, lifting blocks, and heavy-duty springs. And yes, it''s a dually, complete with 16-inch aluminum wheels and huge 38.5x11-16 super swamper tires. Big trucks are enjoying resurgence in the market, and someone spent a fortune re-engineering this incredibly Chevy. Nobody''s going to miss you in this, and the finish quality means it''s totally worth it. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
