Description:

Maybe it''s the pretty light blue paint talking to me, but this 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup seems to epitomize the word "clean." Fully rebuilt and freshened, it''s a clean daily driver or a fun hobby truck that doesn''t mind heading to the store every now and then. Fully disassembled and then rebuilt from the ground up, this truck has lived all its life in Georgia, so you know there are no issues under the skin. Chevy''s handsome mid-60s design language gives the short bed/regular cab pickup a purposeful look that stands out with that sculpted side cove that runs the perimeter of the truck. The finish hides nothing, so the gaps had to be well done and the reassembly was careful so that all the seams lined up just right, and it shows quite well today. Light blue is an uncommon color on a working-class pickup, but it looks fantastic here and will stand out at local shows when you pull in. New bumpers were installed after all the paint was dry and buffed, plus new gate hardware, fresh weatherstripping, and a contrasting white grille . There''s fresh oak in the bed, which is now covered by a spray-in bedliner material that actually looks pretty trick with the uncoated stainless steel strips. Forget sticky old vinyl, this C10 offers comfortable cloth upholstery on the original bench, accented by correct-looking vinyl trim. New carpets on the floor help the truck step away from its humble origins and also improve sound and heat control inside the cab. The very cool printed instruments on a single sheet look trick and don''t collect dust, which is nice, and a thick leather-wrapped steering wheel is beefy enough to look right in a pickup. A newer AM/FM/cassette stereo was planted in the center of the dash (remember, this was a time when radios were still optional in trucks), and the dark finish on the dash contrasts nicely with the light blue paint outside. Lokar supplied one of their long-handled shifters that looks like a vintage gearshift, but otherwise you''ll find the interior very much as Chevy intended in 1966. Nestled into that black engine bay is a fresh 350 cubic inch V8, properly dressed in Chevy Orange paint so it really pops. An Edelbrock aluminum intake topped by a Holley carburetor provide a combination that was perfected decades ago and give the small block plenty of grunt to move the pickup with ease. Chrome bits including the air cleaner and valve covers make it look fresh, while a big six-blade flex fan ensures cool temperatures under all conditions, particularly given the immense size of the radiator. New hoses, a fresh tune-up, and a complete wiring harness from Painless Wiring make it as reliable as a sunrise. Glance underneath and you''ll find a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear, with fresh shocks all around. A rumbling dual exhaust system gives it just the right amount of attitude, along with the simple aluminum wheels that wear 255/70/15 radials that fill the wheel wells completely. If you like the color, you''re going to love this truck. Clean, fully sorted, and ready to rock, what better way to have fun this summer? Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
