Professionally built by Eddie''s Rod Shop, this 1934 Ford tudor sedan is a walk-on winner at just about any show you''re likely to attend this summer. Fitted with an expensive leather interior it''s powered by a small block Chevy and dressed in brilliant Twilight Turquoise livery, this is the kind of rod that simply never goes out of fashion. The shape is timeless, the paint job will age well, and it delivers enough performance to keep you interested for a long time to come. Speaking of the paint job, it is simply spectacular, thanks to careful storage and proper maintenance since it was finished. The Twilight Turquoise finish really works well on the vintage Ford sheetmetal (and yes, this one''s 100% steel) and the workmanship is first rate, with flat panels and a brilliant shine thanks to modern urethane paints. The top has a very mild chop, so subtle that unless you''re an expert or there''s a stock ''34 next to it, you might not notice it, but that''s only evidence of experts at work. Other cool details include original-style cowl lights, rubber running boards, and a frenched license plate frame where the original rear-mounted spare tire would have lived. Overall, the results are pure 1934 Ford with enough custom touches to keep you looking for hours. The tan leather interior is beautifully stitched and crafted by Paul Adkins, with supple buckets that are all-day comfortable. With a simple pattern that mirrors the exterior, it is every bit as comfortable and inviting as a modern luxury machine. That stunning woodgrained Wabbit dash is full of white-faced gauges from Classic instruments, along with under-dash A/C controls and a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo head unit. A simple tilt column painted to match the body is topped by a LaCarrera steering wheel wrapped in matching tan leather, flanked by a Lokar shifter that looks right at home sticking out of the floor in this ''34. Power windows ensure clean lines on the custom door panels and make this a no-compromises rod. Under that stock louvered hood is a 350 cubic inch crate motor drenched in chrome and polished billet aluminum. Twin Edelbrock 4-barrels and a polished intake add big horsepower, while a set of block hugging heders dump into a true dual exhaust system. The engine installation is clean and straightforward, with good access for maintenance, which is even easier thanks to extensive receipts that are included with the car. The transmission is a TH350 framed by a fully detailed and expertly sorted chassis that includes an upper and lower A-arm suspension up front and a fully polished Jaguar-style independent rear, all hanging on adjustable coil-overs. Disc brakes all around (inboard in back) provide awesome stopping power, and staggered chrome wires wear 195/70/15 front and 235/70/15 rear radials that give it the perfect hot rod rake. You''ll find that getting to the show can be a blast with this fully sorted, documented, pro-built rod that''s simply off-the-charts spectacular.
