Description:

1970 FORD MUSTANG BOSS Resto-mod, freshly restored, finished in Grabber Orange livery, equipped with a balanced and blueprinted, solid lifter, 351 Cleveland motor, mated with a Toploader transmission and a 9” inch posi-trac rear end. This California car (always) has been loved since day one, and no shortcuts have been taken in the restoration and maintenance. It is in better than new condition. This car was stripped, cleaned, blocked and painted with lead-based Dupont Immron poly urethane, and features a detailed undercarriage and sound proofing/rust prevention using rubberized coating inside doors and other panels. The interior received a completely new, factory correct ''70 Boss deluxe interior (like Boss 429, however with the Mach 1 style door panels) Also, the car has a completely restored smooth working fold down seat (also not offered on the original Boss). The Cleveland motor provides the horsepower, torque and RPM that make this car’s power to weight ratio very desirable. The interior was fully restored using NOS factory correct parts. All components have been restored, replaced with NOS, a quality reproduction, or original parts which were in excellent condition were re-used. Engine and drive train were professionally built as a solid lifter 351 Cleveland (bored .030 over) (9:7:1 comp) with Ram Air 4 barrel carburetor (Holley 700 double pumper, mechanical choke (like the Boss 429) Forged pistons Balanced & Blueprinted, Tru-roller Cloyes double Roller TC Set, 4 bolt main block, High Volume Oil Pump, Boss 351 rockers and push-rod guide plates, Crane Poli Locks. Rare Ford aluminum 180 degree Intake manifold (not spread bore like stock Boss 351). New Ford water pump (not rebuilt) fuel pump,etc.350 horsepower, 325 foot pounds of torque.NOS Boss 302/351 finned aluminum Valve Covers, trunk mounted battery with factory Boss 429 battery tray , ‘0’ battery cables, Ford hold down and bracket. Battery is externally vented Bosch Group 27 but tray will hold externally vented Group 29, (like factory Boss 429. Autolite voltage regulator, starter and starter solenoid Ford distributor, cap and wires, MSD coil in the factory Ford bracket (detailed to look like Ford).Factory Ford/Boss export brace. New 2 1/2" dual exhaust with "X" crossover (equalizer) and 428 Cobra Jet replacement mufflers (no resonators) slightly exposed non-chrome turn-down exhausts at rear valance (Boss 429 design). Throaty mellow exhaust sound. Nine inch Nodular rear end, 3:91 gears, 31 spline Traction-Lok differential. Power disc brake booster and master cylinder Koni shocks, new sway bar bushings-end link kits, tie rods, rebuilt steering control valve and ram with new PS pump and new hoses throughout. 1” Boss sway bar. Global front suspension with relocated upper control arms (per Boss 302 factory modification book). Heavy duty 4 core radiator, factory fan shroud, 160 degree thermostat, new heater core and all new Kevin Marti reproduction hoses. Body: Ford grille, hood molding and valences New Ford tooling hood & hood hinges New front spoiler and rear deck spoiler. Triple chrome plated OEM bumpers with new hardware New rear tail lights and bezels and seals NOS gas cap and antenna All new side marker lights including new lenses and chrome bezels All new NOS emblems Factory spoiler windshield wiper arms. New complete reverse light assemblies with correct grey NOS gaskets Factory Magnum 15” X 7” wheels with correct hub caps, lug nuts, locks and correct period looking Goodyear Eagle RWL tires (nicely balanced). A original (never on the ground) space saver spare with the intact (still charged) inflation canister. Scissor jack and attaching hardware like new. Outside door handles Interior:Entirely new Deluxe interior including all new seat upholstery professionally rebuilt with new formed seat foam NOS Ford tooling dash pad New center console with Clock was rebuilt and is in good working condition also has hidden shut off switch for long term storage. Map light, trunk light (std Boss 429 items) is also included.Entirely reconditioned gauge cluster with new lenses, new rear printed circuit, speedometer/odometer replaced (current reading 1880)Correct 4-speed OEM carpet set with correct scuff guards, carpet padding and has sound proofing coating on floor.Very nice factory console with rear light, completely reconditioned fold down seat. Deluxe door panels with new carpet, door lights, pull cups, etc. New complete weatherstrip/seals throughout the vehicle. Deluxe door lights with correct Factory ''70 Ford ‘STEREO’ speaker grills. Interior was painted factory Grabber Orange lead-based polyurethane body color when is was totally stripped. Restored 3 spoke rim-blow wood steering wheel, with NOS horn switch (Ford’s Canadian Manufacturer).New ignition lock, door locks, trunk lock and glove box lock. All are a matching set with matching keys. Turn signal switch, lever with emergency switch and reverse lockout (4 speed car). Mustang reproduction AM/FM radio with cassette player. Completely reconditioned window regulator assemblies.New window handles, window guides and new window felt moldings. New floor mats Boss 429 Air and Choke controls and cables.Documentation on this car is comprehensive and also predates my ownership for the last 15 years.Registration is current and pink slip is ready to go. I am selling my car due to health issues and upcoming move
