The only major upgrade is a Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo and fresh speakers fitted to the door panels. Horsepower wasn''t the 2002''s mission; instead it was a balanced combination of power, handling, and braking that makes it an absolute blast to drive. The handling is faultless, and its limits can be explored without risk, making it a fantastic dance partner on your favorite twisty road. The 2.0-liter inline-four is a willing partner, happy to rev and making wonderful, brawny sounds, while the 4-speed manual is a delight. Completely unmodified save for a few maintenance items, it''s a rare find that can still function as a daily driver. The engine bay is tidy and rust-free, like the chassis (which is shockingly clean). Even the stock 14-inch steel wheels are a nice touch, now wearing a set of modest 185/65/14 radials.
