Description:

BODY Car was disassembled down to a shell and all body panels were stripped and any required metal work was performed ,including removal of the 4 side marker lights. the body is absolutely arrow straight. The engine compartment was smoothed by removing the A/C lines and removing all dimples and tack welds,All chrome was blacked out including the window frames. while apart the car was painted a color close to Ferrari Red The frame is straight and painted gloss black. The floorboards were properly dropped 2.5 inches for a tall driver.Thin black undercoating used on non frame surfaces. Aluminum beauty panels custom fitted to all 4 wheel wells. The car is an earlier car (02222) so there is no braceing raised surface on the deck lid leaving a cleaner look compared to later cars.Stock engine front cover repainted. All glass original save for DeTomaso replacement windshield and all new rubber used throughout.Vader square headlights installed, a significant upgrade from the original.SUSPENSIION All components were replaced or reconditioned. All A arms are powder coated black and new bushings installed. Camber lock system installed . All 4 shocks / springs were replaced with the proper spring rate and performance shocks. Rear sway bar dress up kit installed .Steering rack replaced.BRAKES Complete Wilwood system including red 4 piston rear calipers and 6 piston front calipers, large rotors and rotor hats installed . Stainless hard brake lines used with stainless braided hoses to calipers. Emergency brake system is a custom unit from Pantera Performance with DeTomaso logo on the caliper.Clutch and brake master cylinders and brake booster were replaced. An external clutch slave cylinder was used for easy accessibility. New clutch assy. installed.COOLING Massive 4 pass core aluminum radiator from Ron Davis installed with 2 puller fans exhausting hot air out the two grills installed in the hood. Stainless steel pipes used along with Gates green line hoses where applicable.Custom chromed swirl tank and overflow tank with braided stainless steel hose from engine and to each other installed.Car has never overheated.INTERIOR The engine has a center console reduction kit which relocates the alternator and A/C compressor so that the center console bubble is symmetric and does not protude in to the passenger seat area as in the stock configuration.. This allows the passenger seat to move fully forward and aft just as the drivers seat. The interior is based on late 90''s Ferrarri F355 seats purchased new at the Ferrari dealership for $4500 each then stripped and recovered in charcoal leather with red inserts. The seats are electrically adjustable fore and aft controlled by Ferrari switches mounted on the shift console. The same design theme was used throughout with double red stitching on all adjoining leather surfaces. Every interior component including the dash , doors ,rear bulkhead panel etc. was redone in the charcoal leather. The gauges and clock are the stock units but redone with white face with the DeTomaso logo. All the electrical components work properly. The cooling fans are controlled by the stock switch on the panel and not by trouble prone thermostats. The award winning interior was designed by the previous original owner Mr. Harry DeShong and executed under Harry''s tuteledge by Mr. Nick Kulukian, a highly sought after interior specialist in Phoenix.A fuel cutoff switch is mounted on the bottom of the dash for safety and security. A roll over/ high impact fuel switch is also mounted in the front storage compartment. There is no spare tire. The front storage compartment contains the Optima Gel Cell battery, the brake/ clutch cylinders 6 CD changer and active Bass-Link subwoofer. The storage basket for the engine bay was recarpeted and is attached with chromed Zeus fittings . It is not in the car but goes with the car.WHEELS The 4 wheels are one off custom units by Panteras by Wilkenson of southern California. They resemble the Group 4 racing wheels and are 17 inches rear with 16 inches fronts. The rear tires are Michelin 335- 50 - ZR17 Pilots and the fronts are Michelin 235-35- ZR17 Pilots. The center caps were fabricated by a Jeweler in Scottsdale AZ using the stock caps as a guide but with all inlaid Mother of Pearl, turquois, and black coral. They are beautifully done.SOUND SYSTEM Based on an Alpine CDA-9835 FM/AM/ CD Receiver with controls for a 6 CD changer. The changer is located in the front storage compartment along with an Infinity BassLink active subwoofer with bass sound ducted into the passenger compartment. Speakers are by AD with two speakers tastefully integrated into the door panels and 4 speakers in the rear bulkhead cover with crossover networks.PARTS the car comes with a brand new recovered basket for luggage (attached with Zues racing fittings which are installed in the engine compartment), Pantera owners manual, Pantera technical description (repair manual) ,factory jack, receipts for 153200USD and various books on pantera cars and part, and owners manuals for the sound system components. Also included is a laptop computer(AMS Tech)with connectors to plug into the ECU connector located just above the fuse panel, and a Air/Fuel indicator which plugs into a connector just above the fuse panel. The car was professionally mapped for street use by B&R Automotive in Phoenix AZ using a chassis dyno;however one can program it for racing conditions. A Haltech operation and programming manual is included. Cost was no object for the previous owner Harry DeShong, who developed the car .Receipts for 152,774,00 USD come with the car .The remainder of the parts and labor were on a cash basis bringing the total spent to aproximately 225,000,00USD and the car shows it.
