Lot No: Manufacturer Ferrari Model 308 GT4 First Registered 1979 Registration No FUS123T Engine No 14422 Chassis No 14422 MOT April 2011 Colour Blue Chiaro Details The 308GT4 or Dino was Ferrari's first attempt at a mid-engined, 2+2 sports car.. The design was entrusted to Bertone rather than the more traditional Pininfarina and the result was a masterpiece of engineering. Within a 100 inch wheelbase, Bertone managed to fit 2+2 accommodation, a mid-mounted V8 engine and transaxle, spare wheel/ tool storage and enough luggage space for a couple of soft bags. The 308GT4 was the first of Ferrari's highly successful, mid-engined , V8 powered road cars forming the basis for the Mondial and 308GTB/GTS range of future years. The model was first seen as the Dino in 1973 but was re-designated as the 308GT4 in 1977. The example offered here has benefited from a recent cam belt service and is offered complete with the original service booklet and owner handbook, in the original Ferrari wallet. It has an excellent history file with evidence of a brake overhaul, including rebuilt calipers and braided hoses, the fitting of a stainless exhaust manifolds and sports silencers and much more. The car has also just benefited from four new tyres. Finished in blue Chiaro with blue leather, this GT4 is said to be in very good condition throughout.
