This very special, numbers matching, 1956 Jaguar XK140 MC Roadster arrived in our showroom today from a private collection. This Jag has under gone an extensive frame off, nut and bolt restoration, no expense spared, high quality restoration. You will appreciate the special attention paid to every detail from the front to rear bumper. This Xk 140 has never seen rust and has spent most of it life in sunny Arizona. All new suspension has been hung and she handles better than new. This car has participated and completed several 1,000 mile rally's like the Copperstate 1000 and the California mile. This Jaguar runs and drives great, smooth and cool. The brass/copper radiator has been replaced with a high performance, extra capacity aluminum radiator. The transmission is fitted with an optional Laycock deNormanville electric overdrive shifts smoothly, quietly and precisely. Brakes are smooth and predictable. The instruments have all been restored, refaced and function properly. The exhaust manifolds have been re-porcelainized and replaced with correct brass hardware where specified. A large electric cooling fan is installed ahead of the radiator to assist in cooling at low or idle speeds. The body panels and paint finish were executed at a very high standard. Black Hartz canvas top with appropriate glass rear window contrast brilliantly with the racer red exterior. New radial tires on chrome plated wire wheels. Accessories included with the car include side curtains, jack, spare tire, brass knock off hammer,oak spanner for the wheel spinners, T key and owners manual, and Jaguar key fob!
