1937 Chrysler Imperial Coupe

273.8 cid L-head in-line eight-cylinder engine rated at 110 horsepower, three-speed synchronized manual transmission, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes, 4.10:1 rear axle; wheelbase: 121.0"

Chryslerï¾’s top-line series was the Imperial and for 1937 styling was similar to the lower-priced models except with a longer hood and cowl treatment so that the big in-line eight cylinder engine would be sure to fit. It is hard to believe that a luxury brand would offer a business coupe, but as America regained a strong economy, what better way to celebrate sales than with this symbol of success. With a base price of $1,030, just 1,075 copies of this model were produced. This car could go to Concours event. A very rare opportunity indeed, this coupe is the height of fashion, 1937 style.
