Description:
1961 was the last year of the Virgil Exner design era, and there was little doubt it was his Forward Look Design that made the 300G the flagship of the Chrysler line. Available only in two door hardtop and convertible and colors, Mardi-Gras Red, Alaskan White, Formal Black, and Cinnamon (the rarest). Although the colors were limited; the options seemed endless. It was sometimes referred to as the Bankers Hotrod because the 300G has more horsepower than most 1961 automobiles, and it carried such a high price tag.
This specific fine automobile runs , drives and shows beautifully. This is the finest example of a 1961 Chrysler 300G Letter car in the country and has Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc awards to prove it! When judged by the Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc, it scored 99.2 out of a possible 100 points in one event and at another it scored 947.5 out of a possible 955 points. It also won Best of Show at both events! Included with the car are photo copies of the IBM and Build Sheet and Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc Judging Sheets.
